Sami Aaron is a Certified K-State Johnson County Extension Master Naturalist who coordinated the transition of management of the Pollinator Prairie to a formally recognized Master Naturalist educational project. She has been active in installing native gardens in suburban settings and sharing that information with homeowner groups and others since 2005. She is the founder of the nonprofit, The Resilient Activist, whose mission is to promote community support and education around the subjects of climate change and ecological anxiety. Sami serves on the Advocacy and Partnership team for Deep Roots and is on the coordinating committee for the Kansas City Conservation Equity Network. She is a Climate Reality Leader through the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, a global network of environmental activists who are committed to spreading awareness of the climate crisis and working for solutions to the greatest challenge of our time. Sami is a registered yoga and meditation teacher who focuses on the healing benefits – for earth-care and self-care – of time spent in nature.
