Paula Diaz

Paula Diaz is the principal of GardeNerd Consultations, providing education on native flora and designs incorporating native plants into traditional home and business landscapes. Paula was a University of Missouri Advanced Master Gardener who actively promoted native plant gardening through the Master Gardeners Speaker’s Bureau. Paula was awarded the University of Missouri’s highest volunteer honor in 2013 by being named to the MU Extension’s Leaders Honor Roll.  She is a past member of the Cass County MU Extension Council.  She is a professional GrowNative! Member serving on the GrowNative! Education committee, a member of the Missouri Prairie Foundation, the Missouri Native Plant Society, a partner of Deep Roots KC, and founding and current member of Raymore Tree Board.  Paula has had several articles and tips appear in general gardening and native plant-specific publications.  She has been a featured speaker for various Extension Master Gardener organizations and Missouri Department of Conservation programs, Extension Master Gardener certification and advanced education classes, and various GrowNative! and MDC webinars. Her passion is to create ecologically beneficial spaces and share with others the joy of welcoming nature into our human spaces.
