Paul Brown

With a deep appreciation and love for nature and the beauty of landscapes, Paul Brown & his wife Nan purchased Kansas City-based A Tree Grows in Brooklyn in 2019. Paul served as a Licensed Nuclear Operator for 12 years with Dominion Energy at North Anna Power Station before he purchased the business. To pursue their dream, Paul & Nan moved their young family to the Kansas City area to take advantage of all that the city offers and love their new community. While attending the First Annual Plan It Native Conference in September 2019, Paul and Nan decided to change the direction of their company and pursue an ecologically balanced approach to landscape installation and maintenance. This pursuit has allowed A Tree Grows in Brooklyn to work with large companies, schools, cities, and homeowners to restore gardens and landscapes to native plants that offer biodiversity to otherwise desert locations.

Married for 13 years, Nan & Paul have five children (twins at the end) and busy and full life.
