Lydia Gibson

Lydia Gibson is the Director of Corporate Development for Ripple Glass who seeks opportunities to share Ripple’s unique model to support glass recycling across the country. After being active in the waste reduction and recycling communities of the Kansas City Metro and Lawrence, Kansas for the past ten years; Lydia knows the value of resilient, source-separated collection programs. She currently sits on the boards of the Missouri Recycling Association and the social enterprise, KC Can Compost. Before joining Ripple in 2017 she previously worked as a Waste Reduction and Recycling Specialist for the City of Lawrence, Kansas and as a Program Manager for Missouri Organic Recycling. At Missouri Organic she established and supported comprehensive waste reduction plans for special events and sporting venues in Kansas City. She holds her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Environmental Studies, Spanish, and Political Science and her Master of Urban Planning Degree from the University of Kansas with a special emphasis in environmental planning.
