Biography

Kate Austin, CBLP-D, CBLP-I, is the Green Infrastructure Asset Coordinator for the City of Lancaster, PA. She manages the operations and maintenance of the City’s award-winning green infrastructure installations, as well as manages the Small Stormwater Project permitting program. Kate is passionate about cultivating multifunctional, beautiful, native urban landscapes to manage stormwater, provide habitat, and promote urban greening. Kate is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Moravian College with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. In addition to her work at the City of Lancaster, Kate serves as President of the Board of the Little Conestoga Watershed Alliance and steering committee member of the Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council.
