Biography
Jesse Nippert is a grassland ecologist that specializes in plant physiology. He has worked at the Konza Prairie Biological Station since 2002, and led the NSF-funded Long-Term Ecological Research Program since 2017. His work currently focuses on the impacts of climate change and land-use change on grasslands and savannas, with a particular emphasis on grass-tree coexistence and the impacts of woody plant encroachment. Jesse is passionate about the conservation of grasslands in the Great Plains, and translating science into actionable management.
