Biography
Hunter’s fascination with nature and our species’ place in it led him to earn a BA in Cultural and Evolutionary Anthropology from the University of Colorado, and a Certificate in Urban Agriculture from Purdue. He is currently working to promote sustainable development practices as the Greenspace Property Manager at GaleHart Communities, a Lee’s Summit-based planned community development team. (Don’t get him started on Japanese bush honeysuckle). He also enjoys working as the production lead for Zen Donkey Farms, a Greenwood-based donkey rescue that offers organic cold-pressed juice and donkey-assisted therapy. Hunter previously worked for eight years as the Facility Manager for the Historic Longview Mansion, overseeing the care of ten acres of manicured gardens, fountains, and flowerbeds. When he’s not working, he enjoys sailing, hiking, and working in his home garden.
