Biography
Presenting: Green Infrastructure Maintenance: Lessons Learned from the Fassnight Creek Restoration Project at the Springfield Art Museum
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and religion from Drury University, Caleb pursued a graduate degree in religion and literature at the University of Chicago. He is now completing a master’s degree from Missouri State University, where he studies the connection between religion and conservation. While living in Chicago, Caleb worked for Friends of the Forest Preserves, managing teams of youth engaged in conservation projects within the inner city. He has since worked with the National Park Service, United States Forest Service, Student Conservation Association, Audubon California, Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Southern Sierra Research Station, and Watershed Committee of the Ozarks leading trail, ecological restoration, and youth development projects. Joining the Springfield-Greene County Park Board in 2022, Caleb seeks to enact his passion for place and people through projects and programs that blend history and humanities-based content with outdoor recreation and conservation opportunities.
