The Soil Resource as the Basis for Life
September 15, 1:30pm • To truly understand native planting, you must dig deep into the science of soil. In this session, learn about how soil serves as the living terrestrial matrix of Earth. Soil has many critical functions, including cycling atmospheric gasses, filtering and storing water, and maintaining a large, dynamic reservoir of carbon and biological life for mediating most of our food production. Learn more about these interconnected functions in the soil ecosystem as well as an overview of soil biology and soil health.
