Pathway to a Joyous Landscape: Plant Native Plants!
September 15, 1:30pm • Locally and regionally native plants are sustainable as they thrive in the soils and climate their place and don’t require added resources. They provide ecosystem services as they are the building block for the local web of life and all its creatures from invertebrates to us. The life they engage in brings joy to all humans who are open to the experience, and it is well documented how important contact with nature is to our wellbeing. The program will go over these concepts and look at the journey my own landscape has undergone from traditional lawn wasteland and invasive species-choked woodland to nature-filled wonderland.
